VARVEL of Italy have been leading the design of geared products since 2000 when the gearbox kit concept was launched, allowing stockists to assemble the unit in few minutes. Some kits are also common to all the gearbox series; i.e. motor flanges, motor elastic couplings.

This feature provides the highest flexibility allowing us to immediately configure the required product from stock and despatch same day.

VARVEL units are used wherever motion control is asked for in mechanical, tile, textile, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, woodworking, plastic, rubber industry, etc.

RS Worm Gearboxes


 

  • Modular Design with Optional Mounting Arrangements
  • The RS Worm Gearboxes, specifically designed for universal mounting,are manufactured with die cast housings and covers in aluminium up to the size 85 and cast iron from the size 110.
  • Input Viton oil seals, fitted on demand, allow free-trouble operation with either 2-pole, or 4 pole, standard AC Motors or 3000 rpm DC Motors.

 

RT Worm Gearboxes


 

  • Traditional Square Design
  • The RT Worm Gearboxes are designed to easily interchange with customers existing Units and like the RS are manufactured with die cast housings and covers in aluminium up to the size 85 and cast iron from the size 110.
  • Input Viton oil seals, fitted on demand, allow free-trouble operation with either 2-pole, or 4 pole, standard AC Motors or 3000 rpm DC Motors.

 

RC Helical In-Line


 

  • The Series RC helical gearboxes are manufactured to latest ISO engineering design specifications.
  • Significant strains caused by the effects of torque and external loads do not deflect the monolithic ribwork of the housing,which significantly improves the integrity of the sealed surfaces.
  • Leading applications: general purpose, medium and fractional power drives
  • Design: cast iron housings and covers; one-, two-, and three-gear trains

 

RP Helical In-Line


The FRP71 Gearbox is expressly designed to be fitted on pick-up booths for feedingsystem screw conveyors; the gearbox/boot fitting is tailored to match the customer's needs.

The one-piece aluminium die-cast body is abundantly sized to avoid any harmful vibration to the feeding system and to withstand heavy operations.

  • Helical gears - made of alloy steel, casehardened, tempered and shaved - are designed and verified according to ISO 6336 and DIN 3990.
  • Bearings are calculated for at least 15,000 running hour average lifetime.
  • Keyways according to DIN 6884.
  • The gearboxes are delivered filled with synthetic long-life oil (without plugs), in the appropriate quantity to install them in any mounting position without any prior specification.
  • Leading applications: Animal livestock systems for feeder driving (screw conveyors) in floor feeding applications.
  • Design: Aluminium die cast housings and covers; one-gear train

XA Helical In-Line


The helical gearboxes series XA are manufactured as follows: aluminium die cast housing and covers, helical gears in alloy steel, case hardened,tempered and shaved.

  • Gears - designed and verified according to ISO 6336 and DIN 3990 - and bearings are calculated for at least 15,000 running hour average lifetime.
  • Keyways according to DIN 6884.
  • The gearboxes are delivered filled with synthetic long-life oil (without plugs) and in the appropriate quantity to install them in any mounting position without prior specification.
  • General purpose flange mounting B14 and mainly, independent helical stage for fitting to FRS and FRT input
  • Aluminium die cast housings and covers; one-gear train

RD Helical In-Line


The Series RD helical gearboxes are general purpose, medium and fractional power drives manufactured in B3 base mounted configuration and in B5 flange mounting.

Single-setup machining on state-of-the-art CNC production lines, the most recent calculation techniques and process controls give superior operational reliability.
