Geared Motors

Lenze AC geared motors are ideally suited to constant speed applications with supply of 50 or 60 Hz, as well as operation with frequency inverters. In conjunction with the Motec built in inverters, they can be used to perform demanding decentralised drive tasks. The range includes the following G-Motion Units, and new G500 range together with smaller fractional geared motors can be found in the next section.

G500-H Robust Helical Geared Motors


The robust helical gearboxes are characterized by high permissible radial forces, closely stepped speed reduction ratios and a low backlash.

They are available in a 2- and 3-stage design with a torque of up to 123910 lb-in (14000 Nm) and a ratio of up to i=370.

Advantages:

  • Closely scaled in terms of size/torque, allowing optimum adaptation to the machine
  • Standardized shaft and flange dimensions for easy machine integration

G500-S Slimline Shaft Mounted Helical Geared Motors


Planetary, helical and shaft-mounted helical gearboxes are used in numerous industrial applications to produce an axial torque transmission.

For extremely accurate and high torques requirements for high-tech applications, planetary gearboxes are always the right choice.

The helical gearbox comes into its own in numerous industrial applications as a universal and robust gearbox.

Pluggable shaft-mounted helical gearboxes are also suitable as a space-saving alternative, for example in a storage and retrieval unit when the machine structure needs to be as narrow as possible.

G500-B Efficient Bevel Gearboxes


As robust right-angle gearboxes, bevel gearboxes are perfectly suited to roller conveyors. The same applies when it comes to precise operation at the workstation.

This has meant that the bevel gearbox, with its numerous advantages, is now an integral part of most applications.

Helical-bevel gearboxes or helical-worm gearboxes can be used as an alternative, although these are often less efficient or considerably larger.

The g700 planetary gearbox is an excellent solution for dynamic and cost-optimized applications.

Its high-level of reliability, long service life and excellent scalability make it a precise solution for demanding machine tasks.

MPR/MPG Planetary Geared Servo Motors


The combination of Vogel MPR and MPG planetary gearbox and Lenze servo motor is the optimum solution for dynamic or highly dynamic applications which require maximum precision.

These include the tasks that apply on a daily basis to the printing and packaging industry, handling and robot technology, filling and materials handling technology and general mechanical engineering.

The MPR and MPG planetary gearboxes are characterized by an above-average torsional stiffness, combined with a backlash down to one angular minute.

Their combination with MCS synchronous servo motors and MCA asynchronous servo motors creates flexible and particularly energy-efficient solutions which cover virtually every application.

GFL Shaft Mounted


These 2 and 3-stage parallel-axis gearboxes are primarily used as shaft-mounted gearboxes. The gearbox has a space-saving design and is easy to mount. As well as enabling internal power or torque sharing, the output shaft is accessible for further use (e.g. for installing encoders).

GKK Bevel Right Angle


The 2-stage helical-bevel gearbox with disconnect clutch, with its compact dimensions and high radial power capacity, is particularly well suited to materials handling applications, and monorail overhead conveyor drives (EMS).

When combined with a Lenze motor control unit, these products make for optimum automation of in-plant drive tasks. Only low force is required in order to isolate the drive from the output end; disconnecting drives from the process becomes child's play.
